In other to improve the security of its users, Facebook added a new feature which is called "Trusted Contacts".
With Trusted Contacts, you can add 3-5 of your friends who can act as a bodyguard or gatekeeper to your account.
In case you have trouble log in to your account, these selected friends can help you get back your account Just like giving the spare key of your house to a friend and collecting it back later when you can find yours.
Using Trusted Contacts, you dont need to identify some of friends or answer your security question. Just ask trusted contacts to get you a security code with instructions on how to help you.
TO SETUP TRUSTED CONTACTS
1. Log in to your account
2. Visit
https://m.facebook.com/settings/security/
3. Select Trusted Contacts
4. Click add friends
WHO ARE YOUR TRUSTED CONTACTS?
1. Someone who you trust, like friends you can give your ATM pin.
2. Someone who you can contact offline since you wont be able to log in
